SUMMARY
There have been a few Chinook caught through out the Douglas Channel. Most are suspected to be Feeders.
Crab and Prawns have been the most common target species with most boaters enjoying their first feeds of the season.
Depending on who you talk to, some boats of done exceptionally well for Halibut despite the reduced size and quota of Halibut for the 2025/26 season.
Anglers are reminded that the new regulations for 2025 is on page 2 of your Tidal Water Fishing License.
Most Note worthy change is the reduction of the Halibut limit.
“No person shall retain a Halibut greater than 102 cms head on length. (78cms head off) The possession limit is one (1) Halibut
