SUMMARY
The Kitimat River has received some record low water levels followed by some of our normal fall rains. We needed some rain but in Kitimat, one must be careful what one wishes for. After a couple days of rain, the Kitimat River got murky but was still fishable. A few lucky anglers caught some Coho fishing close to the edge of the gravel bars while others fished the clean wash of some of Kitimat River’s tributaries.
The Northern Coho will be distributed throughout the Kitimat River. Now that the river level has dropped and is low and clean, the challenge is to go out and find them. Usually when you find where the Coho are, you find lots of them.
Good Luck and Stay Safe

SUMMARY
The Douglas Channel is still producing really good numbers of Halibut, bottomfish and Crab. Coho fishing has tapered right of as most of the Coho have migrated into their spawning river and streams. There will still be some Coho opporotunities but more a case of being in the right spot at the right time.
Most boaters will take advantage of any fair weather days to get their last feed of fresh crab or prawns.
