Isaac was a very polite respectful young man who enjoyed fishing with his Grandfather and Justin. It is a pleasure to observe the special relationship between Grandfather and grandson evolve well enjoying the passion for fishing. I am not sure who was prouder. Isaac of his catch or Chris of his Grandson!

Rick and Matt are proudly holding the Chinook they caught but the “Star of the show” is Olivia holding her catch! Look at her smile! These are precious family moments! Well done everyone!
Summary
Chinook season is coming to the end as retention for Chinook ends July 31st at midnight. The highlight of this week’s report on the Kitimat has to be the Pink fishery.
I counted 8 family groups of Grand parents fishing with their sons or daughters and their grandchildren. Their were 2 family groups of 4 generations fishing together. Great, great grand parents fishing with their great, great grand children. Wow!
It is indeed a pleasure to watch, admire and report this sentimental phenomenon. I am honoured to share some of these moments in this Fishing Report. Well done everyone!

John for Blue Heron Charters also shared this photo of his clients, Brent & Friends Halibut Fishing in the Douglas Channel. Wow! Congratulations Everyone!
Summary
Halibut fishing is awesome right now! Coho fishing on the outer waters of the Douglas Channel is outstanding as well. This is the perfect time of year. It is very possible to limit out on Halibut and Coho Salmon right now and the Coho fishing is only going to get better.
With each rising tide more Coho will migrate into the inner waters of the Douglas Channel and eventually into the Kitimat Harbour. The Kitimat Harbour fishery is a popular fishery with the local anglers. It is literally 20 minutes from our homes. We are truly blessed!
Anyone wishing to Book a Trip of a Lifetime on the Douglas Channel please contact Ron wakita@telus.net or call 250 632 1275.
