Summary

The Chinook season on the Kitimat River is starting to get really good as many anglers have accepted this year’s catch and release regulations.  The sunshine, good river conditions and Father’s Day celebration has motivated many anglers, especially Fly anglers to pursue the challenge of landing Chinook on a Fly.

We are still hoping that the Kitimat will be open to retention but as of today, it is not.  I will post the Public Notice to this website immediately because it looks like it is going to be an excellent season on the KItimat River for Chinook. .
