SUMMARY
The Kitimat River is having some high catch rates on some days and  other days when the bites off.  Killer Whales have been frequently hunting the Kitimat Harbour at the mouth of the Kitimat River.  This would explain the eractic catch rates.  The Killer Whales have also pushed an abnormal number of seals into Kitimat River.  Chinook anglers are warned to beware of Seals.
There have been many reports of seals hijacking Chinook from fisherman.
This ia all part of the Chinook fishing program on the Kitimat River this year.
The more challenging the endevour, the gratifying the reward!

Good Luck and Lucky High Five!

Angler are reminded to leave the head on any Chinook caught in the Kitimat River if they are going to be transported.

SUMMARY

Chinook fishing has been really good for some but for others, not so good.  The boats who have doing the best have been trolling deep.
On a bright note, Coho are already being caught in as close as the south end of Sue Channel.
Halibut remains good despite the frustrating reduction in dailly limit size and possession.
Anglers are reminded that the new Halibut limits are on page 2 of your Tidal License.
