Summary
We received some major rain on Friday which caused the river height to rise drastically and the Kitimat River was barely fishable for most of Saturday. Saturday night produced a pretty good bite for Chinook at the upper Lower Dike for some lucky anglers.
Today (Sunday) there were lots of fresh fish in the middle and upper Kitimat. Bright fish with sea lice.
There will be some very high tides next week. Next week will be Good fishing! Stay tuned!

Summary
This is the best time to be fishing the Douglas Channel.
Anglers can catch all species of Salmon. Halibut and all Bottomfish migrate into the inner waters of the Douglas to feed on the spawned out carcasses of the Salmon.
The weather is also usually better this time of year and the beauty and splender of the Douglas is on full display.
Many boaters are catching a mix of Coho, Pinks, Chinook and some have reported catching Sockeye. Halibut is also excellent.
