Summary
As i wrote in my previous report, this is the best time of year to be fishing the Douglas Channel.
Anglers can catch all species of Salmon. Halibut and all Bottomfish migrate into the inner waters of the Douglas to feed on the carcasses of the spawned out salmon.
The weather is also usually better this time of year and the beauty and splendor of the Douglas is on full display.  With calm seas, boaters are also able to venture out onto the shelves on the outer waters.
Many boaters are catching a mix of Coho, Pinks, Chinook, Chum and some have reported catching Sockeye.  Halibut is also excellent but there are some long liners.working Devastation side.  Fish Trap and Staniford banks has been reported as spotty.
