DOUGLAS CHANNEL: PHOTO OF THE WEEK: Jim Monk is holding a 126cm Halibut he caught on May 7th on the Douglas Channel.  Jim and his fishing partners also boated another Halibut 92 cms.  Jim also commented that crabbing was not as good as they were pleased with their Halibut. PHOTO OF THE WEEK: KITIMAT RIVER May 5th.  Charlie Alexander holding a large male Kitimat River Steelhead.  This Steelhead measured 39' long with a 22" girth.  Calculations of these measurements works out to just over 20lbs.  Charlie caught on our 1/2 Driftboat Special.  $300.00 for a 4 hour Driftboat Trip. KITIMAT RIVER PHOTO OF THE WEEK: My cousin Mike Wakita is holding a Kitimat Hatchery Steelhead he landed on the Kitimat River April 27th.  Mike and I were doing a morning drift.on a mission to complete the "Triple Crown".  The "Triple Crown" is a personal challenge I have developed over the years.  The challenge is to catch a Steelhead using 3 different fishing methods on the same drift.  We had to catch a Steelhead on a Hot Shot , one on a Fly and one on tackle.  We landed one using tackle and one on a Hot Shot but we lost the third leg of the Triple Crown on the fly.  So close but hooking 5 Steelhead, landing 2 is a pretty good morning.  Thanks Mike for a...
