KITIMAT RIVER PHOTO OT THE WEEK: “Kelly Ferguson’s first Chinook salmon. Kelly who is12 years old.was fishing with her father, Chuck and two younger brothers Jackson and Joseph. On Kelly’s fifth cast of the day she hooked into a Chinook salmon. Within the first couple seconds the Chinook broke the reel on the rod. Kelly continued to fight the salmon with a broken reel. With aching arms, vibrating legs and cramped hands Kelly landed the fish 10 minutes later. Only to see it was to big to keep at 102 cm wild chinook Kelly let it go after a couple pictures”. This is great fish story and is best told when Chuck tells it in person. Wow! An Awesome Dad/Daughter moment! This a page in the Ferguson Family History Book of Life that will be cherished for years.
