Kitimat RIVER PHOTO OF THE WEEK: July 5th I had the pleasure of drifting with Pro Guide for Reliable Guide and Charters and Ron's Tackle Store staff, Des Nevraumont, my Grandson, Zander and his friend Holden. Des landed this beauty in the Railway run on a Siver Redhead SE 3/4 mag Hot Shot.  Des thought this Chinook was 30lbs.  I thought it was bigger as it was well over 95 cms but either way,  it was a beautiful female Chinook that was released.  Congratulations Des and Great Job Team. Holden lost a Chinook that he thought was the biggest fish he has ever hooked.  You have bright future as an Angler, Holden.  You will get the next one. Zander hooked...

KItimat RIVER PHOTO OF THE WEEK: June 18 Mike Zavaglia landed this beauty Bar Fishing with #2 Pearl Clown Spin n Glo on the Lower, lower dyke.  Congratulations to Mike and Thank You for sharing your picture with our Fishing Report. June 17 Ryan Yamada provided the picture of a Chinook he caught at the Lower dyke, on a Gibbs Blue scale Koho 65 spoon. Congratulations and Thank You for sharing your picture with our Fishing Report. Summary We received some exceptionally big tides this week and a rise in River water levels early in the week.  These influences caused a few Chinook to migrate into the Kitimat River. KITIMAT RIVER PHOTO OF THE WEEK  Sept 15 Des and I had the pleasure of drifting with Larry and Shirley Timm and Jody and Shennelle Gardiner.  This was the Mother, daughter, father in law and son in law Fishing Team. As I mentioned in my previous fishing report, one of the best qualities in a good guide is to do "Homework drifts" (Preclient drifts) to stay tuned with the run.  Des did the Homework and her efforts paid off for Shennelle.
