KITIMAT RIVER May 27th:  The Kitimat River is in great shape and the Kitimat River Pump House would normally be full of anglers.  This time of year, there would be Bar Rods lined up to catch their first Chinook of the year..  The recent Public Notice reducing the retention of Kitimat Chinook to zero has had a huge negative impact on the fishing. PRINCE RUPERT Nov 5 David Eng of Sunset Charters reports, "Some great dry weather has come along with decent numbers of winter Chinook. We had five charters over the last week and all were successful. Average size is in the low teens but we did land a few in the 16 pound range. Crabbing has been excellent as well."
