May 10 Zachary Sands-Justin-Irving-Kelsey Rice. 1/2 Driftboat Trip
Summary
Steelheading on the Kitimat River is on it’s downward slide as many Steelhead have changed into their spawning colours. Spawning pairs have been observed in the tributaries. Anglers are reminded that the tributaries of the Kitimat River and upstream of Highway 37 Bridge is closed to angling until after May 31st.
While there are some brighter Steelhead being caught, many anglers are looking forward to this year’s Chinook season on the Kitimat River.

Summary
The Douglas Channel is producing really good numbers of Halibut in the outer waters. Crab and Prawns is very good. King Crabbing has been exceptionally good this year.
A few Chinook have been reported but I anticipate Chinook catch numbers will increase in the near future.
