SUMMARY
The Kitimat River is full of salmon.  All five Salmon species have been caught this week abeit only Coho, Chum and Pinks can be retained.  Kitimat River Salmon Quotas below.
Pinks, Chum and Chinook are in various stages of spawning colours.  There a still a few bright Pinks showing up but most of the Chinook and Chum have turned to their spawning colours.
We have some growing high tides which peak early next week which should bring more fresh, bright and sliver Coho into the Kitimat River.
There is always a heightened moment of excitement when you see a flash of silver come out of the water when you set the hook on a fish this time of of year.
Early Coho catch results on the KItimat River have been very good especially for this time of the year. Hopefully this trends continue into the peak of the Coho run.  Time will tell but many of us are pleased with what we have witnessed so far.
