Summary
We received some exceptionally big tides this week and a rise in River water levels early in the week. These influences caused a few Chinook to migrate into the Kitimat River.
The catch rates are comparable to what we expect this time of year.
As the river drops, each rising tide should bring more and more Chinook into the Kitimat River.
Anglers are reminded that only One Chinook per day under 80cms can be retained by Anglers who possess a Salmon Stamp on the Kitimat River..
Anglers are also reminded that these reetained Chinook must be recorded on your Licenses.

Summary
The larger high tides this week pushed the Chinook up the Channels into the Kitimat Harbour. Catch rates were good but sporadic. As soon as the Chinook started to group up in the KItimat Harbour, the Killer Whales showed up and scatterred the Chinook. Unfortunately this is a common occurance.
Smart Money says, if the “Bite” is ON for Chinook, stay on them because sooner or later, the Killer Whales will be back.
Anglers are reminded that the new regulations are on page 2 of your Tidal Water Fishing Licenses.
Good Luck and Stay Safe!
