All good things must come to an end. Accordingly,Steelheading on the Kitimat River is nearly at the end for this year. The bright side is that as Steelhead season ends, Chinook season has already started.
The Kitimat River stays low and clean with the temperatures in the morning and evening staying fairly cold. With the huge amount of snow in the mountains we are hoping the
snow melts progressively through out May and early June.

Marie Ellison struggles to hold up her prize catch of a 50lb Chinook. . It doesn't matter that Marie can't hold it up for the photo, as long as she was able to reel it into the net. Well done Marie!
