The Kitimat River is starting to produce the odd Chinook this week. River conditions have been good to excellent this week. Fishers/fishermen are starting to show up in good numbers but the Chinook are just starting to run. When they show up, they will be are very large and eager group of anglers waiting for them.

Summary
There is a very good set of high tides this week and with the Kitimat in excellent condition, I predict more Chinook will be reported in the coming days.
Check your and line and test your knots, this season is going to be a good one!

These chinook were caught trolling a #1 Luhr Jensen Flasher with a Rhys Davis Anchouvie and blue/green Anchouvie teaser.

Summary
This is typically the best time to fish for Chinook in the Douglas Channel. I suspect that the catch rates will start climb in the coming days. Stay tuned!
