Aug 24 I had the pleasure of drifting with Dawson Calkins and his girlfriend, Hanna. Dawson is on staff at Ron’s Bait Shop and is a very keen angler. Hanna however …not so much but very interested in pursuing the passion of fishing and Dawson.
Dawson asked me to take Hanna and him on a drift to celebrate their anniversary. I was honored especially since Hanna had never caught a Coho before. We hooked a pile of PInks in addition to 6 Coho. We landed 3 Coho. Dawson landed one and Hanna landed 2. Although Hanna landed more Coho than Dawson, Dawson was absolutely delighted that Hanna landed her first and second Coho. Congratulations to Hanna and Dawson on your catch and it was a pleasure to be a part of the celebration of your anniversary.
Note: There have been a lot of Coho caught today through the lower Kitimat especially below Haisla bridge. Pink and Blue/purple Jigs have been very effective. Koho 45 Blue Scale and Copper spoons have also been very good.

These Men of God are gifted and anoited in the Kingdom of God and perform amazing signs and wonders in their respective Ministries. As demonstrated by the photos of their catch, they also all share the passion of fishing. The total catch was 35 Coho, 3 halibut and a bunch of bottomfish. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3

BIO
For the Children
Wesley and Stacey Campbell have given their lives to children at risk around the world. They have traveled to more then 60 nations, visiting the poor, and oppressed. Together they have raised an army of people who will go to heroic lengths to meet the needs of others.
Both, Wesley and Stacey, have a long history of working for mercy and social justice globally, speaking yearly 50 conferences and 100 cities each year.
They are authors of five books, including “Be A HERO: The Battle For Mercy and Social Justice”, and producers of 20 CDs. Wesley and Stacey are members of the teaching faculty of the Wagner Leadership Institute. Wesley and Stacey live in Kelowna, BC with their five children.
Wesley and Stacey have always had a heart for mercy and the poor. In 1986 Wesley and Stacey founded New Life Church with an original mission statement of developing a church of a thousand, capable of sending out one hundred fully supported missionaries who would work amongst the poorest of the world, planting mercy centres and alleviating suffering and poverty. Within five years the church grew to one thousand members with many hundreds of people going to the poor of the earth.
In time the church began to broaden its attention to third world orphans, and thus Be A Hero was born. Today Be A Hero has raised up scores of projects (Children’s Homes, foster care programs, schools, medical clinics, micro-enterprises, agricultural projects) in 25 nations.
Using their platform as conference speakers, Wesley and Stacey began to mobilize ordinary people, and network with business and government officials in order to promote mercy and social justice throughout the world. Through the networking strategies developed with other humanitarian organizations and partnerships worldwide, Be A Hero is now positioned to awaken and mobilize the masses to become advocates for children at risk. “Becoming a hero” is within us all, and our mandate and vision is to awaken that potential within the complacent ranks of the Western world.
