Summary
Coho fishing on the Kitimat River was really good when the river conditions were good.  We experienced huge changes in river height and clarity this week.  When river clarity was good, Coho were caught on all types of lures.  Coho were caught on Jigs, mostly Pink and Chartreuse but one group caught their possession limit (12 Coho) using Black/Red.  Blue Scale and Copper with Red Stripe Koho 55 was effective in the tail outs.  Other Anglers did well float fishing Roe.  Spinners were also good lead by Blue Fox Vibrax.  Coho fishing can be challenging but once you figure out what they want, fishing can be outstanding.  As always, high water will bring lots of Coho into the river and when the river level drops and cleans …Coho fishing will be outstanding.  Stay tuned!

Summary

Halibut and Crabbing is still very productive where as Coho fishing is starting to slow down.  Most Coho are migrating into especially with the higher river levels.  There have been reports of a few Chinook been caught.
