Sept-8 I had the pleasure of fishing with Greg Wilson and Sonny Dempster. Sonny and Greg are learing the fine art of Salmon fishing on the Kitimat River fishing with myself, Marc and Jacob for Chinook, Chum, Pinks and now Coho. Greg and Sonny are very accomplished anglers in their home fisheries and are now learning the finer details of salmon fishing on the Kitimat. I think their are getting the hang of it. The proof is in the pictures! Congratulations of your catch gentlemen and Thank You for using our Guiding Servioes.
Greg and Sonny took advantage of our 1/2 Day (4hr) Driftboat Rate which is 400.00 for 2 clients. (plus gst) Greg and Sonny recommended adding an option of 500.00 for 2 clients for a 1?2 Day Trip which would include pickup and drop to and from camp. Food for thought….

Summary
The Kitimat River received a couple bumps of rain this week , Although the Kitimat River level rose only a few inches at times, it was enough to flush a few bunches of Coho into the river. Although many of the favorite fishing spots in the lower Kitimat were Hot and Cold, there were some exceptional catches for the anglers who were in the right hole at the right time. With the high tides this week early morning and late evening, smart money said get up early and fish late. We are forecast for more rain next week but in Kitimat, one must be careful what we wish for. I predict with more rain there will be a bunch of Coho in the Kitimat. Stay tuned

Summary
The Douglas Channel continued to produce good numbers of Halibut.and the weather also coninued to be outstanding. The scenery and the Douglas Channel experience is amazing with Blue skies and calm seas.
Coho are still being caught in the Kitimat Harbour fishery. Coho fishing will remain good as long as the Kitimat River remains low. We are forecast to receive some rain so depending on how much rain we get will determine as much longer the Kitimat Harbour Fishery will contine.
Stay tuned!
Please Stay Safe!
