PHOTO OF THE WEEK;  KITIMAT RIVER:  June 14.  Dermot Somers holding a 83 cm Kitimat River Chinook he caught on our 1/2 Day Driftboat Special fishing with Pro Guide, Marc Girard and his fishing partners, Jeff Van Den Bussele and Chris Moore.  This was Dermots’ first Salmon.  Congratulations Dermot!  Great Job Marc!

June 9: Marc Girard, Pro Guide for Reliable Guide and Charters holding a couple beautiful Kitimat River Chinook landed on the Kitimat River Drift with his fishing buddy, Reg.
Marc was doing a pre-client trip in preparation for our upcoming client trips.  They hooked 5 Chinook and landed 3.  Two of the Chinook they had to wrestle away from a small seal who managed to take a bite out of the tail of one of the Chinook.  Please see photo above.  Congratulations Guys.

June 12 Tim Newman fishing with Charles and Jacob sent these photos to share with our Fishing Report.  Tim, Charles and Jacob were Bar Fishing and Bottom Bouncing on the gravel bar below the Hatchery.  I believe they landed 5 Chinook total during their fishing trip to the KItimat River.  Wow!  Well done Guys!  Congratulations and Thank You for sharing your photos with our Fishing Report.

June 13 Chris Racz shared this photo of this beautiful 83cm Kitimat River Chinook.  Chris released this Chinook in accordance to the regulation that only Chinook under 80cms can retained on the Kitimat River.  Well done Chris!  Congratulations and Thank You for sharing your photo with our Fishing Report.

In Honor of Nick Hopwood, Ron’s Fishing Tackle Shop will be offering our Freezer Services and Vaccum Sealer Services by donation to the Kitimat River Search and Rescue.
We hope to raise funds for KSAR but more importantly raise Public Awareness of the Importance of River Safety.
