Summary
The Kitimat River was very high most of the week from last weekend’s rain.  The river level drop all week.  The Kitimat River is fishable and is producing Chinook through out the river.  Albiet catch numbers are still spotty but there are a few very “Happy Anglers”  The Kitimat River Chinook fishing will get better with every rising tide.
Stay tuned!

June 12 Dr Carson fishing with his fishing partner, Miss Elseby Vander Walt caught these beauties trolling south end of Sue Channel.
Dr. Carson shared the following comments, “Interesting note:  l recruited Elseby’s mom, Dr Vander Walt as the new Psychiatrist to Terrace. Her family went out with me for first time on Sat.
Elseby is 13 years old and lost the first Chinook at the net but managed to land two afterwards.
Her Mom delivered my daughter at old hospital while doing a Locum for Howard Mills here in 1991.”

The Fish Gods blessed your trip with some very nice Chinook!

Summary

This week the Douglas Channel started to produce some traditional catch numbers of Chinook we usually enjoy this time of the year.  There were reports of Chinook in the Kitimat Harbour, Sue Channel and also down around Harley Bay..
There were also reports of Chinook caught out at Turtle Point and Fish Trap.
The Chinook have been illusive during late May and early June but they finally decided to show up during the latter part of this week.
There were many very happy Chinook anglers fishing the Douglas Channel this week.

On a personal note, I said, “Goodbye” to a very dear friend and fishing partner, Ken Fleming this week.
Life is Precious!  Fish Lots!  Especially with those close to you!

Good Luck Everyone!
