SUMMARY

Firstly.  Our Fishing Report did not go out as usual as I attending Dan Patchett’s Celebration of Life this past weekend.  Dan was a Pro Guide for Reliable Guide and Charters for over 20 years and a very dear friend.  Dan will be missed and never forgotten by many.

The Kitimat River levels have been up and down over the past 2 weeks.  The high water was caused by both hot weather and rain but never rose to the level where the Kitimat River was completely unfishable..
Despite the changes in River heights and water clarity the Kitimat River produced very good numbers of Chinook., The proof is in the pictures!.

Pinks and Chum are starting to show and with the upcoming larger than normal high tides will be lots of Chinook, Pinks and Chum in the Kitimat River.  This is the best time of the year to be fishing the Kitimat River.

Life is Short!  Fish Lots!

Ron

Summary
The Douglas Channel is producing excellent numbers of Halibut and bottom fish..
Chinook fishing in the Douglas Channel has been erratic all season mostly because of the increased numbers of Killer Whales in the Douglas Channel.
Boaters who were in the right place at the right time managed to catch Chinook but the window of opportunity to catch Chinook is closing as many of the Chinook are reached their home streams and rivers.
Coho have started to show in the outer waters of the Douglas Channel and many salmon fishers will start to focus on Coho.
Life is precious!  Fish Lots!
