PHOTO OF THE WEEK: Kitimat River Aug 25 I had the pleasure of drifting with one of my favorite fishing partners, Rebecca (the Pretty Lucky High Five Girl) and Mason Scrivens (newest member of Ron’s Fishing Tackle Shop’s Team) We hooked 4 Coho landed 3. I was multi-tasking on this drift by fishing with Rebecca, staff training on the river with Mason and doing a pre-client drift prior to upcoming client trips. Mission accomplished!
It is always fun to fish with Rebecca, Mason learned how to Hot Shot and jig for Coho and we located a couple sweet spots for Coho. Good times were had by all and proof is in the pictures!

SUMMARY
The Kitimat River was exceptionally low and clean and we needed a little rain but in Kitimat One has to be careful what we wish for.
We received not just a little rain and went from exceptionally low river conditions towards what may end up with river levels high and dirty.
At the time of writing this report, the Kitimat River came up and was unfishable today. Aug 30th. It has dropped and cleaned by tommorow will be fishable if it doesn’t rain anymore..
The upside to the high water is that it will bring more Coho into the Kitimat River and we have good forecasts for this weekend during the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce Derby.
